Veteran Military Medic or Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Vocational Nurse needed for certified Rural Health Clinic.  Compensation is negotiable depending on experience.  Non-licensed or non-certified applicants with experience may apply, but position contingent upon becoming credentialed via Board, or undergoing in-house training that must be documented, which path requires previous experience, such as, previous military  medic (veterans highly encouraged to apply) or civilian trained back office medical assisting (with reference confirmation) and contract commitment.  In additional to medically related MOS applicants, X-ray technicians who want to do x-rays or Medical transcriptionist willing to transcribe, but also desire cross-training in medical assisting and who want to work both classifications are highly encouraged to apply.  Only professional natured career minded folks need apply.  We  serve our federally designated underserved population in rural Magalia and are the only family practice in town. 

 

Duties include readying charts for provider, seating patients, vitals signs, chief complaint, completing and routing labs/special studies and referrals to specialists and referral networking.  Also routing RX refill requests to appropriate provider, pre-authorizations via insurance, patient telephone follow-up and tracking, completing array of other various paperwork and forms, preparing charts for next day appointments, being sure all reports are in-house before follow-up, EKGs, Spirometry, PFTs, Nebs, dressing changes, ear irrigations.  Importantly assisting providers with minor surgery procedures (requires demonstrated sterile technique) and autoclaving and instrument maintenance, sample medication rotation, injections, supply inventory and ordering and more. Prefer certified or licensed or able to obtain within six months.  Again, non-credentialed applicants with experience may be considered, but will require in-house education documentation with contract obligations.  Must be able to multitask and work quickly and accurately and be able to cover reception when needed.  .
